I love my dad because he has all these old time Borough Park stories to tell, I admit they are way funnier when sitting around the table on Friday nights and sipping scotch and eating sunflower seeds, but its hard to get him on camera
Well its more then having a crushed hat and knowing your local sheliach. There are many things you have to know to infiltrate the clan- I offer an outsiders view on what it takes and why being a Lubbie can be so rewarding.
(this was done in good fun- I am only joking)- the fact I have to write that caveat means some people out there are just plain old dumb.
Ok so this is a little different then normal- but its funny and I figured I would post it. Pay careful attention because this is what happens when too many people have ADD
Not really, but I couldn't think of a title. I got stuck with a Birnbaum machzor this year and it kind of sucked- except for the fact that the chazan skipped most of the pages.
I attended this singles shabbaton in Monsey a while back and the ways they were going about introducing people were similar to the tactics used by car salesmen.

Ever go to shul and cant find your siddur of choice? Maybe you pick up the wrong machzor? Looking like an idiot while looking for a siddur.

So I am in this dressing room at Syms and this yeshiva guy is davening- but he was just testing out the suit he was trying on through shuckeling and thumb dipping.
Pomegranate kosher supermarket in Brooklyn has been a hit so far- so I went with Jacob of the blog jacobdajew.blogspot. com and filmed some scenes from the store- loads of fun and we talked with the owner as well.
Its a simple fact that most folks have certain expectations when biting into a sour cream donut- but if you keep an open mind you will realize it is like no other donut.
Footage taken during the 2008 simchas bais hoshoeva in Crown Heights. It was a rocking party and this is my video with my own commentary thrown in the mix.
Back in the day Woodbourne was the best place to go off the derech, then the Rabbis banned it and the movement was taken underground. Just a random video- I took of me walking around on Visiting day.
I couldn't fit everything into the rant but I cover the basics. This came from a post on my blog- a very detailed one for that matter.
